Terafinal and Challenger Events UK Chess Challenge
August 20th & 21st
Well done to all the girls who competed in the final stage of the UK Chess Challenge held in Loughborough.
Imogen Turvey-Cross scored 8 points in the Terafinal with 2 wins and 2 draws and one of the draws was against Katherine Shepherd (U14 British Girls Champion) in Round 1.
The other girls competed in the Challengers Event.
Alyssa Wang scored 9 points with 3 wins, finishing joint 13th. She sadly lost to the eventual Girls Under 11 winner in the last round.
Eva Los finished on 9 points with 3 wins.
Shayanna Sivarajasingham finished on 3 points after a ding-dong match against Emily.
Emily Wang failed to score but had a great time and recorded most of her moves correctly with a bit of help from her competitors !
