Children from St Pauls School visit London Chess Classic
December 8th
On Thursday 8th December St Paul's School from Grangetown in Cardiff took a coach with nearly 40 children to the London Chess Classic. A great time was had by all with the children not only being fully absorbed watching the Grandmasters in action but also playing with massive enthusiasm, concentration and no little skill in a simultaneous exhibition (vs James Coleman, 2142) who had to concede several genuine draws; informal matches with London primary schools and in lively team games on the giant-piece board in the foyer.
