The tournament was organised as a five round Swiss, involving all eight teams. Both Cardiff Chess Club teams were a player short.  Cardiff C.C. A.J. would have easily won the tournament if only they had broughta full team. Bishop Vaughan School won this tournament for the second year in succession.

Cathedral A won a closely fought primary schools section. The St. Pauls players learned to play chess last Easter!
